Change Graphics cards in AmigaOS 4.
by PymbleSoftware.com

Small note about how to do smoothly change graphics cards.

A brief note incase it helps someone.

Take the old graphics card out. Insert the new one.
Boot AmigaOS 4.1.1
The display will be low resolution and 8bit( 256 colours)

Open the Devs drawer in the boot drive.
In the Devs drawer there will be a monitors drawer.
Rename the file in there, say from "Radeon 7000" to "Radeon 9250".
Right click the file and choose "Information"
In the information panel choose the "Icon" tab
Change the BOARDTYPE= line ...

For example
BOARDTYPE=Radeon 7000
to:
BOARDTYPE=Radeon 9250

Close the windows and reboot the machine...
